3:52 p.m. - February 15, 2005 musicmeme 1. Total amount of music files on your computer: Hmm I think iTunes said it was about a day and a half. I got rid of a lot of it because it was just dragging me down. 411 songs, 2.95 GB 2. The last CD you bought was: The last cd? Shit that was a long time ago. I am soo not the music person. The last song I bought off of iTunes was Janis Joplin's Crybaby 3. What is the song you last listened to before reading this message? Words that We Couldn't Say- Cowboy Bebop 4. Write down 5 songs you often listen to or that mean a lot to you. 1. American pie- the old style one. It reminds me of my daddy and home. 2. El Rey- Vincente Fernandez's version specially, my god be damned theme song. "with money, or without it. I'm still the king When I die you'll have to cry" 3. Living La Vida Loca- the theme song of my youth. 4. Richard Cory- it reminds me of school, my family and strange summer days when my daddy washed the dishes from breakfast he made. 5. Words that We Couldn't Say- Cowboy Bebop Japanese animation song, It's just the sort of bitter poignant crap that I love but that there's not enough of in English. According to the iTunes the top five played songs are 1. flying teapot- cowboy bebop 2. crybaby- janise joplin 3. space lion- cowboy bebop 4. felt tip pen- cowboy bebop 5. pushing the sky- cowboy bebop. 5. Who are you going to pass this stick to? (3 persons) and why? no one that I can link to online. sorry but the results are sure to be much cooler than mine. Thye funny thing is this reminded me how much my musical tastes have always been dictated by my friends and relatives. I used to like smashing pumpkins because my friends did, then I liked dead kennedys because my friend did, now with no friends to influence my tastes have melted back to the bittersweet spanish pop that I was raised with at home. Except that spanish pop has moved from ballads to raegetton and hip/hop banda mixes that leave me feeling utterly confuzzled. Truly the times change too quickly. |
